Emergency crews respond to blaze on Myrtle Avenue; mutual aid requested |
Firefighters in Irvington, New Jersey, are battling a significant fire that broke out early this morning in a two-story mixed-use building located at 395 Myrtle Avenue.
Emergency services were dispatched at 9:31 a.m. after reports of flames emanating from the structure.
Upon arrival, crews initiated operations with one hose line actively combating the fire, while primary searches are underway to locate any occupants inside the building.
Given the intensity of the blaze, mutual aid has been requested, including tower support from neighboring departments, to assist in containing the fire.
As of now, there have been no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by local authorities.
